ADD is now considered Predominantly Inattentive Type. Children with this form of do not have the hyperactivity portion of the disorder. You can learn how to treat the disorder possibly by eating a healthy diet rich

in proteins, Omega-3 fatty acids, and carbohydrates. Foods with proteins: Peanut butter, eggs, beans, cheese, and nuts. Foods with Omega-3 fatty acids: Salmon, white fish, tuna fish, Brazil nuts, and walnuts. If you have a hard time getting your child to eat these foods you may buy an Omega-3 fatty acid supplement. Foods with carbohydrates: Certain fruits and vegetables are high in carbs. All of these foods are very healthy and are good for your entire family to change. Keep away from sugar foods, corn syrup products, and honey. Examples are: High in sugar cereals, candy, and corn syrup products are found a so many items you really need to pay attention to food labels. If these do not work or you choose to medicate your child your doctor can prescribe the correct medication for your child. It is best to do some research to see if medication is the way you want to go for ADD help. Some medications do not have studies done as they are too new to know the consequences of what will happen to your child later in life. You may also speak to a psychologist for ADD help on what is best for your child. Each child is an individual and should be treated as such.
